This workshop is focusing on an in-depth understanding of the movement of the anatomical parts of the body. It is important to clarify and define each and every exercise so that the exercise is done correctly. We have to be aware of the differences of each body structure and every unique anatomical alignment. Therefore, we must have a really good know how of all the exercises in order to adapt each exercise in the necessary way. Let us now focus on the connection of the muscles: eccentric and concentric.

I created this workshop when I saw so much potential in this small piece of equipment. I wanted to explore it in detail and work with it to its full potential. The waves were inspiring and I wanted to learn in depth how to train with it. As always it is important to be concentrated and always work with precision and control, but I’m interested in researching how we can train staying in Flow still reaching goals like stretching, strengthening, improving balance and becoming creative exploring the wonderful work from Joseph Pilates.

Based on Mario’s personal experience with limited mobility and pain in the lower back due to hyperlordosis, the workshop provides an original repertoire that he has developed to gain strength and flexibility of the lower spine. His goal is to focus on an approach to how we think and analyze the movement through exercise. Equal attention is given to understanding our own body and training our eyes as tools for ‘body-scanning’. In addition to learning repertoires on MAT, Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda Chair, the workshop participants go away with ideas of how, why and when we adjust our approach to movement, to increase the mobility of the lower spine. Come learn, share and grow with us!

In the past, Mario had restrictions with his lumbar mobility and had pain caused by lumbar lordosis. This workshop will teach you Mario's sequence to strengthen flexibility and strength in the lumbar spine based on his experience. The workshop consists of mat movements for lumbar spine mobility that can be done anywhere with just one mat. I suggest participating in this workshop to those who want to strengthen flexibility and strength with just one mat for your lumbar spine.
